AI-Driven Cloud Security Solution

Founded in 2022, Averlon’s platform leverages artificial intelligence to counteract AI-driven cyberattacks. It provides detailed insights into network access, connectivity, software, and policies, enabling chief information security officers (CISOs) to think like attackers and anticipate potential breaches. Unlike traditional tools that overwhelm teams with reactive alerts, Averlon pinpoints specific security issues, allowing for quick and effective resolution.

Panoptic Visibility and Proactive Approach

Averlon’s technology offers “panoptic visibility” into cloud assets, continuously analyzing vulnerabilities to predict and neutralize attacks. This proactive approach helps security teams understand the bigger picture of threats, facilitating surgical fixes and reducing the reactive nature of current security postures.

CEO’s Insights

Sunil Gottumukkala, co-founder and CEO of Averlon, emphasized the importance of anticipating cyberattacks as they grow more sophisticated. He highlighted that many CISOs feel unprepared for today’s threats, often inundated with daily alerts that lead to a reactive security posture.

“As cyberattacks grow more sophisticated, it’s critical for companies to anticipate where and how attackers will strike,” said Gottumukkala.

“And yet, the reality is most CISOs don’t feel prepared for today’s threats. Averlon solves for this challenge, providing customers with a holistic way to understand, predict and prevent cloud security attacks.”

Funding and Future Prospects

The $8 million funding round was led by Voyager Capital Partners LLC, with participation from Salesforce Ventures LLC and Outpost Ventures LP. Including this latest round, Averlon has raised a total of $10.5 million. This funding will be crucial for further enhancing the platform’s capabilities and expanding its reach in the market.
